A Night to Remember

I should have done this on Wednesday night but I was way too tired. Could have done it yesterday, but was way too tired. I was lucky to get out of bed. So what happened you ask? I got to see New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys in concert when they came to Cleveland, Ohio.

Some of you can stop laughing now, lol.

Seeing Backstreet Boys was great. Just like old times when I saw them in concert. I've seen who knows how many concerts of theirs. This goes back to the mid-nineties when they first came out. It just seems like yesterday my friends and I saw them at the I-X center where the unknowns come to perform. I still have their autographs from when I met them after the show.

Now New Kids on the Block? I have been a fan since the mid-eighties. I remember being a little kid and listening to them on the cassette tapes. Unfortunately, I never got to see them in concert. Who wants to take their nine year old?

Well, this week, was my first time and I would go again in a heartbeat. I loved it. It was great. Seeing the five boys or should I say men now? I didn't want the night to end. To make it even better something happened I never expected.

My friend got us close to the floor and first row. Not on the ground where we would be closer but still pretty close. So during the concert, security comes by. No surprise of course, but they moved a cloth off the railing. My friend and I don't think anything of it. But all of a sudden, a box is put in front of my seat. I mean literally in front. It hits us that maybe they'll be coming out to us. Of course we go all fan girl. We were maybe already at that point, but it got worse. At this point, we don't know who it is. Will be Backstreet Boys or New Kids on the Block? We thought maybe Backstreet Boys since we heard they come out to the audience.

Imagine my surprised face when Donnie Wahlberg is parallel to me and all of a sudden comes off the stage. I don't know if my face was in shock or surprise. I just know he came running and jumped onto the box. The man himself was right in front of me. He steps onto the railing and I got to the be the lucky one of my friend and I, who saw from belly button down. He also grabbed my hand twice. So yes, I was a thirty-one year old who went all fan girl. No, pictures from that. Even if I had my camera ready at that point, I wouldn't have noticed it due to him being so close.

So that was my night, Wednesday. If they come back, you know I'll be there in a heartbeat.

On a side note, Matthew Morrison from Glee was there. Enjoyed his show as well.

I did take a few pictures and videos. Not the best. My friend had the better camera. I'm waiting for her to put the pictures of Donnie so I can save those, haha.
