ItalicSo I know I can be lazy at times and I got lucky since I lived across the bus stop but why can't kids make the simple effort to walk to a bus stop? Here it is in Northeast, Ohio and it's a record high this week. They are calling for 80 degrees today.

Sure this morning it was a little cooler but it wasn't that bad. Middle school kids were waiting in their parents cars for the bus. It amazes me they can't just walk to the stop. This might make me sound old but I remember even walking to the end of the street for the bus when I was in high school. The kids that come to the bus stop live less than a mile. It's not that far. Think of the exercise they could get from walking.

I don't know why but it bugs me. Maybe it's because these are the same kids who don't go outside at all. I remember we would be outside until dark. Weekends would come and we would all be outside doing something. Now the neighborhood feels like a ghost town with no kids outside. I always wonder how they get to their friends house. I never see them on bikes or anything.

Have kids gotten lazier or is it me?

Motivation, anyone?

I could use some motivation. Do you have any I could borrow? I promise once I have found mine, I'll give it back to you.

At least this time I have an excuse. This past week I've had the stomach flu and a cold still lingers. Who wants to do anything when those things happen? If you can still find energy to work, workout, and do other things, let me know your secret.

I'm behind on my writing, editing, reading, and working out. Today, I hope to focus on writing since I'm so close to the end. I'm writing the final chapter. Once that is done, I'll edit the last two chapters and send them to my friend to read.

Did everyone have a good St. Patrick's Day?

Staring Right Back At Ya

So last night I must have been asleep for an hour when I'm woken up to Gabby barking like a mad woman at the window which is on the wall that my bed is against. She kept scratching at it, almost like she wants to get something. I rub my eyes and focus to see what looks like a cats head. It started to move back and forth. Gabby was still going insane before I realize, oh hey it's two in the morning. People are trying to sleep. I grab her but she won't calm down. I decided to finally get up out of my nice comfy bed and close the curtain. Of course, does she calm down? Nope. I get out of bed once more and take her out of the room in my arms to see if that will calm her down. It seemed to work. We go back to sleep but she won't stay asleep. Her head kept peeking through the curtain. She would run down the stairs to look outside to make sure it wasn't not there. This went on all night. So of course I slept in, instead of doing a workout. Well I guess I can say "my not enough sleep, too much caffeine during the week" as caught up with me. At least we're closer to Friday.
